This is an amazing device. I've tried several high-end cellular repeaters as well as cellular-enabled routers like MoFi. Even with more expensive lobe antennas, MoFi only delivered about 3-4 Mbit/s. Using this MikroTik device with very minimal aiming and setting it to only about 8 feet off the ground I am now getting a reliable 50Mbps and up to 80Mbps which is incredible. The big difference with this device is that the cellular device is built into the antenna. I have at least 200 feet of ethernet cable between the dish and the router and it works fine. This would not be possible with a signal repeater. We'll see how this record holds up over the winter, it's already weathered a couple of downpours with no problems. If it survives snow and ice, this device is a true miracle. The only risk for the future is that the network operators will start to intentionally degrade the quality of service, which hopefully will not happen. So far, so good! One note I will make is that installing the SIM card can be very difficult if the carrier has it. I would recommend buying a "standard" sized SIM card rather than micro and carrier. I struggled a bit with the SIM/carrier and finally got it all together, but it wasn't easy. In my case I removed most of the cover (the instructions show that it can be done) and really got into it to insert the card. That seemed to work better. At this point, I hope I never had to take the card out and reinsert it.
