Color is different than shown

This stain is very easy to use, nice consistency, dries fast, and has no smell. But the color is warmer than what’s shown in the swatch list. I ordered amaretto and used it on unfinished pine wood (check photo). It’s very different than what was expected and not not what I was going for so I placed another order in cappuccino to tone down some of the warmth. As a tip you can oil the wood and wipe it down to remove some previous pigment from the stain. I’m going to be doing this before adding the color cappuccino on it.

The color is rich and deep. But it's kind of tricky trying to get uniform shading.

I hesitated to buy this product because it is triple the price for the same amount that I could get in the store. I decided to go ahead and try it because it was water-based and oil based stain is hard to get off your hands and I am a person when I’m crafting or making something I don’t wear gloves and I am just a messy crafter :-) so this comes off with just soap and water and it has a great silky feel when you use it and the color is just stunning. I absolutely love it!! Sometimes spending the extra money is worth it and I absolutely will on this product!’
