Good gauge but... dripped a bit

The quality of this gauge seems good...made of durable quality materials with a brass connector. The first time I used it, I installed it on an external faucet by hand-tightening the gauge. I quickly found that hand tightening wasn't enough as water ran out of the fitting when I turned the water on. To prevent leakage, I had to use pliers to press the pressure gauge against the faucet hard enough. As soon as I stopped the plug from leaking, water started dripping from the sensor itself. There isn't much water, but it drips constantly. However, it didn't make much of a difference as I was testing with an external faucet. A nice feature of this sensor is the interplay between the red and black needles. Before using the pressure gauge, simply align the red arrow with the black, then turn on the water and the black arrow will move the red arrow to the maximum tested pressure. If you disconnect the pressure gauge (and the black arrow returns to zero), the red arrow will still indicate the maximum value reached. This makes the gauge very easy to read when you need to test in an awkward position. Unfortunately I have no way of assessing the accuracy of the sensor as I don't have a comparison. I know our water supply should be between 65 and 85 psi. This gauge registered our water pressure at 65psi, which is below what we were supposed to be getting but within the advertised range. Overall I would rate this 4 stars and recommend it to a friend. It would have earned a 5 star rating if it hadn't dripped during testing. So if a small leak is a big problem for you, you might want to consider a different product. I hope you find this information useful.
