I was very happy when the Lavario washing machine arrived. It was packed very well. Be sure to read the warnings/instructions for securing the lid so you don't break the fasteners; it needs to be secured properly and it's not difficult. I've tried several other portable washing machines (manual and electric), but the Lavario is taller and straighter; You don't need to install it on the table/counter. I have mine in my shower stall; You can also use the bathroom. You fill the base 2/3 full with water, place your clothes in a small basket and close the lid properly, then lower it into the grooves of the base unit into the water. Move straight up and down 10 times, soak for 10 minutes, then finish up and down 10 more times, then remove the drain cap on the bottom and let the water drain; Grab the basket by the handles, place it on something clean on the shower floor and drain (I place mine on a clean kitchen waste bag. It should sit and drain for a few minutes. Follow the clean water rinse process with the same action ( You can prefer more than once but I don't need it because I only used a small amount of detergent and plain water to rinse.You can add bleach but be very careful with eyes and clothes as it splashes a little for me like a regular washing machine, but it's a small download if you only want to use it for nasty stuff, or just smelly socks, or baby clothes that you don't want to get dirty with your regular clothes. After your clothes have been rinsed and drained sufficiently, you can Place them in another plastic bucket for wet clothes or in an electric spin dryer to drain the water drain (I have one that I used with a washer that looks like a crank), or you can wring it out by hand and hang it up. A spinner is the best way to drain water, but you CAN live without one if you have to. Overall, I am very satisfied with the Lavario portable washing machine. I put my sheets and big things on the laundry mat because after all how would you hang them if you are in an apartment or apartment? You will also love Lavario when traveling by motorhome. It's a lot easier and less messy than the spinning crank that others are selling. I hope you consider Lavario for portable clothes washing.
