A few years ago I bought a Lifetape to install a security camera and was completely satisfied with its performance. Easy to use and works great. I still had a few cameras to install, so I wanted to order more Rescue Tape, but I noticed that the price difference between XFasten Tape and Rescue Tape is quite big. So I decided to try the XFasten tape. I think one should always be careful with price differences that big, because as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. The first thing I noticed was that the product was mislabeled because it is 3/4" wide instead of 1". If you stretch the tape after use, you will need to use a lot more to cover the same area as the rescue tape. It's okay, it's cheaper that way, isn't it? Second, the tape is also significantly thinner than the Rescue tape, so you still have to use more to cover the same area. Again, it's cheaper. The fact that it's thinner also created another problem. If you are working outside on a windy day and the cut length is blown away by the wind, it will inevitably stick to itself and become unusable. Bottom line, it might be cheaper, but you end up using more of that tape to do the same job as the Rescue tape, and I don't really save that much bucks in my estimation, plus the added hassle of having it with deal with wasted tape. Needless to say I won't be ordering this again.
