If you can implement Slam in Python then this is for you, if not then this is still for you.
Excellent product, works as described. There is good documentation, but it can be improved a lot. There isn't a definite way to get mapping to work (regarding SLAM beginners) and you'll find it takes quite a bit of research and playing around with it, which if you're like me will be fun.
