Works with Raspberry Pi but needs extra power

Works great with ROS on PC or Raspberry Pi. It runs off a regular USB port on a PC but on the Raspberry Pi I had to create my own USB -Solder the hub to supply power from an external source because the Raspberry Pi's USB ports could not supply enough power to spin the motor.

Good price, bad papers.

It's a good little device, affordable and does the job. Unfortunately, the documentation leaves a lot to be desired. The data output format is not explained. Worse, the manufacturer's website is down. However, Robotshop.com has published software and manuals (as is) on their site for this device.

Excellent product, works as described. There is good documentation, but it can be improved a lot. There isn't a definite way to get mapping to work (regarding SLAM beginners) and you'll find it takes quite a bit of research and playing around with it, which if you're like me will be fun.
