This NAS was purchased to facilitate file sharing between workstations on a cross-platform network between Macs and PCs. The packaging was top-notch, which meant that everything you would expect from a major peripheral manufacturer was made by (presumably) a small company that I had never heard of before. Made of plastic, the device is well designed, feels solid and I'll appreciate the lighter weight if I need to travel with it. The UX reminds me of a Linux interface but makes sense in every way and comes with a great help file. I was able to connect through my Mac in less than 3 minutes - Windows 10 is a different matter altogether. . My current build seems to have a security implementation that cannot be bypassed even after diving into regedit, but tech support responded immediately and sent me a link to an outdated version that allowed it to be viewed in Windows 10. So far so good, the tech support is way better than most in my opinion. My knowledge of TCP/IP is good enough to be dangerous, and Terra Master's support system saved me from major problems. The transmission speed is as advertised.
