Ideal for DIY drywall jobs

These should never be used by professional drywall installers. They take too long for them and they are not needed anyway. However, for the occasional drywall builder and DIY enthusiast, this can be awesome. Most likely you won't be using a disc cutter to cut the boxes, you will be using a drywall saw. This can make it easier to get a figure-hugging neckline. Not easy, but easier. I find a jar much more useful than a deepened jar. I am currently using LED waffle lights in my houses that I am building and they do not require a recess. Instead, you cut a hole, run a wire, connect a junction box, stick it through the hole, and install the waffle light. I rarely use the body for the notch. However, if you need to install them, I can see how this tool would work to get the perfect alignment. Alternatively, you can install upgraded can bodies, which are fitted after drywall is applied. These are labor saving devices powered by magnetism and largely guarantee a good mark and fit. Hopefully with tools like this you don't have to fill in the missing drywall around electrical boxes and jars. This makes for a more airtight installation and definitely saves on rework. 5 Stars.
