They help move the chairs on the carpet
I installed them on four dining room chairs a few days before Thanksgiving because the chairs didn't slide easily on the carpet and left small marks when moved. One was taken the day after Thanksgiving and the other yesterday. I don't really care and I'll reapply them with Gorilla Glue. Chairs used to have felt pads on the underside of the legs and I couldn't get all the pieces of felt off - maybe it had something to do with them coming loose. I realized that I probably didn't achieve full adhesion with the felt pieces attached. Overall I am very happy with the way they move the chairs.
