Too Rough for My Cats/Sisal Unraveled
Sisal feels too rough and sticky for my cat's claws. As soon as they pull out their claws, they get stuck. They prefer to scratch my furniture, which offers less resistance. I solved this problem by wrapping the counter in Ikea cat scratch mats, which are more comfortable on my cats' paws. Looks cool but makes them cling more to the pole and less to my furniture. It also saves the sisal in this product which started falling apart as soon as I took it out of the box.
