Review on Kryptonics Original Torpedo 22 5 Skateboard by Matthew Harris

Needs adjustments to roll straight

This skateboard didn't impress much. I have to confess that I didn't skateboard much when I was younger and instead rode BMX until the sun went down, but I know that the board has to roll straight. The camber is very important and when I ride on the terrace it immediately deviates to the right. After some internet searching, it was probably a problem with the bogies (T-shaped metal pieces below deck that the wheels connect to) that needed to be adjusted. This completely affects directional control and is a poor quality control problem. A skate tool or socket wrench can be used to loosen the carriage. I had no idea how to fix the board and I mistakenly assumed the skateboard was too basic to have any problems. That just goes to show how little I know about skateboarding. Luckily I had a friend who used to skateboard to make the necessary adjustments for my friend's kid to use it. without problems. I also found a small sticker on the skateboard that states a 110lb weight limit, which is a bit of a concern as I've ridden it a few times and it wasn't mentioned anywhere on the product page. A little kid will use it, but what if his older siblings like it, bend it or break it? It might be a cheaper alternative to the penny board, but the quality isn't on the same level. For a beginner's first skateboarder, that might be okay, but it can also be frustrating. I would recommend seeing the boards in person at a skateboard shop before buying. I received this product at a discount in exchange for a review.
