We work on RVs all the time and live in colder climates. I bought sensors to let us know about propane levels in cold weather. We have two 30 lb tanks. One thing I noticed is that the top of the tank needs to be clean and the bottom relatively smooth for the device to work. Additionally, if the sensor starts to shake, you can remove the battery to factory reset the sensor. The sensors themselves are fairly accurate and reliable; If either of them say the tank is low, I know it's time to go out and check the regulator to see if it's switched. As for the IOS app, I would like to see notifications for low signal, low battery, and low propane. This saves me the trouble of regularly checking the application manually. Update - November 2017: The app has the alarms and notifications I suggested; The biggest problem is that the rubber pads stick to the tanks and detach from the sensors. Wrote to the company who offered some silicone grease to keep it from sticking. They also sent me two new sensors to replace the ones that had the rubber seals torn off. Excellent customer service. Upgrade them to five stars.
