Review on 🎯 Enhance Precision and Efficiency with Kreg KMS7800 Solid Production Stop by Dustin Citizen

I use these production fences along with the Kreg Top Guide on my miter table for repeat cuts without measuring. They work well, but they definitely need improvement. My first criticism of these fences is that they don't even touch the fence, and since my miter saw fence is always at a 90 degree angle to the work surface, that means the fence doesn't even touch the work surface. Since it's just a stop, the only surface that needs to be flat has to be that next to the wood I'm cutting, but it's definitely annoying to look at. It gives the impression that my fence is not perfect for 90 and I know the fence is perfect 90. This is more of an annoyance than a problem for me since the thinnest sheet metal I've cut with my miter saw is 3/4. However, this can be a problem for those cutting thin material. My second criticism of this stop is that it goes over the top of the T shaped track and looks down to the end of the track. I'm not sure why Kreg chose to do it this way. This means you have to reach behind it to tighten and loosen. Now for those who only need it for a few equal length cuts. This is normal, but for people like me I pack the product. I may have to make 100 cuts of 10 different lengths. Every time I have to readjust the fence to a different length, I have to reach over the fence and over the fence. It's annoying. Instead, the latch lock should move like a regular latch pin in the track's T-slot. This places the handle on top of the stopper instead of behind it. The last thing that bothers me is that the threaded bolt for the handle is too long. It only takes 1 or 2 turns to loosen the handle and move to a new position. You only need 3 or 4 turns to take it off. I don't understand why Kreg went with a 2 1/2 to 3 inch bolt on this thing. All stoppers work for me and what I need. Although I will say. If I wasn't building my miter saw fences to use the top rail I could use these stops. I would change it, but I'm really keen on building new fences for my miter saw.
