We live in an apartment complex owned by a very bad management company. We started getting mice after a flood that required several large 1ft by 1ft holes in the walls. They never fixed the walls and we started seeing mice. I use this wire wool to stuff small holes that I'm sure mice will get in and it's worked incredibly well so far. They can't chew this stuff, so I'm blocking their passage bit by bit. I haven't used this particular item for other projects, but I'm familiar enough with steel wool to know that it works well on many surfaces. Cleanser. I didn't get any shards from him when I was plugging holes either, so that's a bonus!
