Cheap and rusts easily

Oh! Thought I'd buy better quality steel wool! This is normal, but they rust quickly. I stick with the ones I buy in the store.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Expensive

Ideal for mice. for steel wool

The perfect remedy against the annoying mice that plague my apartment building. Slide the shit down every hole you find and goodbye Mickey Mouse! I send the invoice plus interest for the time spent directly to my landlord.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Generally ok, but...

Chips everywhere after use

Used for cleaning gun scratches, touching up blackening and also removing rust from old knives. Pros: Huge amount Fair price Very natural (I have the second lowest rate) Cons: Ephemeral (carries and goes everywhere) Short usage time per pad

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I don't like it that much, it's ok

I used it in an unconventional way

I've read that using steel wool in a hole that mice go through will deter them as they don't like to chew on steel wool. After spending $300 to get rid of the mouse in the wall and find another one to take its place, I decided to try a different route. I found a hole in the basement for them to climb between the walls and stuffed it with steel wool. I sprinkled the potato flakes over several jar lids, being careful not to leave an odor on them with my hands, and placed them near the hole…

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Safety

Never leave me hanging in steel wool

Great mouse pad. I've been using them to plug holes in various houses I've lived in for several years. The mouse never pulled them out and returned through the indicated hole. A fraction of the price of the same steel wool in a mouse pack and it does the same thing.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires power outlet

Use it to plug holes for mice!

We live in an apartment complex owned by a very bad management company. We started getting mice after a flood that required several large 1ft by 1ft holes in the walls. They never fixed the walls and we started seeing mice. I use this wire wool to stuff small holes that I'm sure mice will get in and it's worked incredibly well so far. They can't chew this stuff, so I'm blocking their passage bit by bit. I haven't used this particular item for other projects, but I'm familiar enough with steel…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure
