It does the job you want and since I don't read instructions lol I found out yesterday that you can do clockwise and counterclockwise You can turn clockwise and forward and it spins. That means you don't have to keep turning one way - you can turn back and forth to tighten which I think is cool. For the money I could have asked for a lot harder / presented as higher quality.But it does what you need it to do
