A very worthy micrometer for its price. Don't misunderstand, however, that his error is nowhere near as small as he can read. That's a good estimate, but there's a good reason very good micrometers cost so much. This micrometer is worth your time if you don't want to constantly read ±0.001 mm or ±0.0001 inch. The scales suggest you should be able to get ±0.0005mm and ±0.000005in, but if there is a way to get that accuracy it hasn't been included in the manual. By the way, the tool itself shows that it can work in the range of 0 to 25 mm ± 0.001, which corresponds to 100% accuracy. I would give this a 5 star rating if it says the same thing every time I open and close the caliper, but it's off.
