I've been using these since I've had them and they work great. I use them in knife making and they are great for measuring the thickness of metal, pins etc. They are easy to use and the product seems durable too.

I tested this micrometer head on my gauge blocks (Class B) and found it to be accurate to two ten thousandths of an inch. This surprised me because of the very flimsy plastic grip. I have to be accurate to the thousandths of an inch in my metal shop to make an interference fit. I hope this product continues to work for me.

I find it easy to use and feels comfortable. Rotating the larger barrel ensures proper fit for accurate measurements. I often find myself in a one-handed position and can operate this tool with one hand. I haven't taken my vernier micrometers out of the box since I got them. What a treat just looking at the digital readings instead of squinting at the vernier scale and index markers to decipher the measurement.

Broken LCD display. The numbers are very hard to see when it's on. I'll be back and probably won't try another device. Edit: The seller contacted me after the return and offered a free replacement (free actually as I had already received a refund). The replacement works great and arrived in less than 24 hours (over the weekend!) after I accepted the replacement. Items are great for the price. I recently bought this unit for my husband and he was very impressed with this unit. It comes in a compact hard carrying case that protects the micrometer and keeps it safe from movement. I just changed the tires and put on a big set of rotors. I used a micrometer to measure the difference in thickness along the old rotors. This is an easy way to make sure the rotors are wearing evenly and if there is a big difference it would be good to investigate other possible issues. Problems can include things like sticking slide pins, improper pad seating, or an ABS module failure. A very worthy micrometer for its price. Don't misunderstand, however, that his error is nowhere near as small as he can read. That's a good estimate, but there's a good reason very good micrometers cost so much. This micrometer is worth your time if you don't want to constantly read ±0.001 mm or ±0.0001 inch.
