I just changed the tires and put on a big set of rotors. I used a micrometer to measure the difference in thickness along the old rotors. This is an easy way to make sure the rotors are wearing evenly and if there is a big difference it would be good to investigate other possible issues. Problems can include things like sticking slide pins, improper pad seating, or an ABS module failure. It's also a good way to measure the remaining life of the rotor before it reaches "scrap" thickness. The micrometer is pretty easy to use. The buttons appear to be loose, but they are finely tuned. On the other hand, the instructions mention an O-ring for the battery cover. I don't see any.
