Review on Board game GaGa Games Unmatched: Robin Hood vs Bigfoot by Ada Pindelska ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product, not disappointed.

At the time of release: - There is no possibility of a 2v2 battle. The playing field is designed for 1v1 parties. - The core mechanics are very reminiscent of the characters from the base box. Bigfoot is a modified version of King Arthur, and Robin Hood is a weakened version of Medusa. By April 2023: - The publisher has announced that this set will be discontinued indefinitely. The set may become rare, which will complicate the purchase.

Pros
  • - Two strong characters. Good for beginners. - Visual design of the Robin Hood deck. Some of the art is a real work of art. - There is a full 2022 localization.
Cons
  • At the time of release: - The playing field has an inflection in two places, because of this, when unfolded, we get not a flat surface, but an S-shaped structure. When playing it is not critical, but a little annoying. - Low replayability of this particular set. Only two characters. You will quickly memorize the cards, work out the optimal battle strategy, and the fights will come down to repeating the same algorithm over and over again. By April 2023: - A number of much more interesting game sets for two characters have been released (Little Red Riding Hood vs. Beowulf, Dr. Sattler vs. T. Rex, etc.)
