A worthy set when you start knitting

This is an inexpensive entry point, but after a few projects you may need to upgrade. First, the needles are LONG, about 14 inches long! That means the length doesn't limit the types of projects you can participate in, but it's definitely impractical for many projects where a shorter length would suffice. Second, the thinnest sizes chip a bit and were completely useless with my merino yarn (I only used the needle from this kit to correct a mistake, but otherwise used metal needles for this project). However, before knowing how much to invest, I think this set is a good place to start.
