Does not fit all doors

This product was recommended to me for my kid in college. The directions were thrown away, but I easily found them in the product description (thanks for that!). It was clear enough how it works, but the door latch was just a bit too large for the lock to fit around. I was under the impression that this was a universal lock, but it is only for standard locks. Make sure that you measure before hand to be sure it will fit the door you’re trying to secure. We will be trying it the next time we travel, to use on our hotel door (hopefully).
