Review on High-Speed Thunderbolt 3 Enclosure: OWC Envoy Express for NVMe M.2 SSD by Rashid Vaquera

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good electronics

M1 Mac Mini 8 GB RAM. Black magic results with 1TB WD750SE 1272.6MB Write, 1490-1500MB Read. It's not the fastest option, but it seems to be the best result in a certified package. I want OWC updated to support speeds over 2000Mbps. But it outperforms most off-the-shelf external SSDs, with the exception of high-end drives like the Samsung X5. I really want a better option but without having to shell out $120 for an uncertified Chinese case to get 2000Mbps. It would be nice if OWC made it a V2. It was all plug and play with my m1 mini. My HP laptop wouldn't recognize it, but I suspect it could be a problem with the Thunderbolt drivers. But I bought it to use with my Mac, so I don't care. It's 3x faster than my Samsung t7 over USBC (T7 is slower than intended due to M1 USB C issues). The case is made of pleasant metal, a pleasant feeling of quality.
