Review on Zeelo Extruder Aluminum Upgrade Anycubic by Narendra Thapa

Looks like a good product but doesn't fit my Ender 3 Pro

First of all I'll probably update this review later. The kit seems well made and the installation is not very difficult, but Creality has made some changes that could put an end to this update. First, my original extruder drive gear was pressed against the motor shaft instead of being held in place by a set screw. With a little effort I was able to make a miniature gear puller. The next surprise was that my motor shaft has no flat for a set screw. But despite all that, I still wanted to install the update. The final problem came when I realized my motor shaft was too short for the longer drive gear. The set screw just doesn't fit in the top of the shaft. My solution is to buy another stepper motor with a longer shaft. My main issue with the Ender 3 Pro is the filament feed. I have relocated the feed screw but the problems are still there. The feed of the Creality extruder is simply not able to overcome even a moderate feed resistance of the filament. The problem is not the slippage of the feed mechanism, but the engine stalling. The motor is too weak for this task. The dual gear upgrade kit offers more than just an improved threaded grip, which is not a problem in my case. Because the extruder drive gear has a smaller diameter than the standard gear, a mechanical advantage is provided that effectively improves motor torque. This should help prevent the engine stalling that I've seen.
