I originally bought one of these cases to replace other manufacturers' key fobs from Revain and the internal spring that holds the trigger that holds the actual key in place ended up popping out of the out the back of the case. and was suspended. That being said I bought this brand from this seller hoping it wouldn't happen again. I'll come back and update this review if I run into any issues, but so far so good. I wanted to highlight what Joe already mentioned in his review of this keychain replacement case. It is longer than the original case. It takes your original GM in-house electronic circuit board and physical key and holds them securely with no issues (as I said, so far so good). You'll need to physically remove the round Cadillac emblem from the back of the original GM body (small flathead screwdriver that pops out instantly) and trim the alignment tab to fit a bit of superglue or gorilla glue. These replacement cases do not have a tongue alignment hole (looks like a small triangle) for the logo to fit, but you can easily shave or grind the tongue off the back of the GM logo. And as already mentioned, after installing the electronics board, there are no problems with its operation. Just FYI, as long as you're doing this process and your remote is open, it might be a good time to change the battery, so you won't have to change the battery for a while. CR2032 battery. With a little DIY tweaking and if the quality can stand up to the normal wear and tear of everyday use, this would be a good replacement keychain case.
