Crashes after 7 days

I'm giving it one star for one simple reason; It broke 7 days after receipt. I installed this heater in my tank a week ago and set it to 79°F. After a few days I noticed that the temperature in my aquarium did not rise and the water temperature stayed at around 24°C. I decided the heater needed to be raised a bit to accommodate the 70 or so gallons in my tank, so I cranked it up to 80F around day 3. I think it would help to say I've never had a light have seen. Unless I adjusted the temperature and it stayed on for a short time. After this heater didn't heat the water in my tank for a week, I decided that maybe I should raise the temp a little more, so I raised the temp to 82F. As I raised the temp, the lights came on and so did I was using this time to close the lid and put some things away when I heard a knock. At first I thought maybe one of my filter elements had come loose, but upon inspection everything was fine. The noise continued until I looked at the front of the tank and saw the heater started to flex. Along with the kinking and rattling, I could see condensation forming inside the heater itself. I immediately unplugged the device and removed it from my tank. This item left me disappointed to say the least and I am extremely dissatisfied with its poor performance. If I move away from the aquarium after setting the temperature, this heater could electrify the water and/or destroy my aquarium and/or equipment. As with all aquariums I've had in the past, I use surge protectors and drip loops on all aquarium plugs, but that could certainly end up being worse than a blown heater. the ability of this product to heat my aquarium or maintain structural integrity. I have provided a picture of some condensation inside the device. Immediately after extraction from the water, internal condensation was much greater. I would have photographed it in the aquarium, but I was more concerned that a $23 heater would destroy a $1,000 aquarium than I was about taking a picture. I would definitely recommend anyone looking into this topic to continue their research and find a safer and more reliable one. Possibility.
