Where's the point!
I was pleased to have a sharpener. I always used my pocket knife to sharpen my carpenter's pencil. The sharpener cuts the sides of the pencil well but not the top and bottom, leaving the wood almost to the point. I tried several times and had to get my knife out to cut these two pieces of wood. I think this is a good start for sharpening a pencil, but I still need my knife. The pens were also not very good quality. The mines were broken and had to be sharpened several times because the tips fell off. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
