Plastic mounting holes don't do the job. They should have steel inserts, like a regular filter. Harley specs are 40-60 inches for the air cleaner element. K&N instructions call for 45 in-lbs, otherwise the filter may not seal and engine damage may result. Well, you won't get close to that torque. At 30psi the bottom bracket broke and the bolt came out without tightening the filter to the throttle body. This is very bad because the filter looks good and is much larger than the OEM. If they figure out how to style it properly, I might try again. Unfortunately I spent an hour installing this and then sent it back.
