This dehydrator is fantastic. I work on an organic farm and like any grocery store, there is a lot of waste. Between canning and dehydrating, I was able to save some of that waste for the winter. I dehydrate apples, onions, carrots, peppers, eggplant, tomatoes, bananas, sausages, fresh herbs, and a variety of other vegetables. Even with a full load and some overflow, it never lasted more than 12 hours. It's easy to keep clean and doesn't seem to have an impact on our electric bills. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.
