About 20 boxes of canned goods needed to be dried. They were in glass cans. 12 liters in a box. They had to be transported in a van, and they froze and broke, and the liquid made them very heavy. Dried for 3 weeks and put the dried feed back into clean liter jars. Not only is it frost proof, it's also much lighter and now holds up to 3 liters in 1 jar. I am satisfied with the purchase of the dehydrator. It works well. It's a bit bigger than I thought, making it difficult to find a place for it in a small kitchen. This dehydrator is fantastic. I work on an organic farm and like any grocery store, there is a lot of waste. Between canning and dehydrating, I was able to save some of that waste for the winter. I dehydrate apples, onions, carrots, peppers, eggplant, tomatoes, bananas, sausages, fresh herbs, and a variety of other vegetables. I've used it with products that claimed to be raw, unaware that the dehydrator was 65 degrees hotter than the temp you set it to.
