This works well enough for finding keys around my apartment. And that alone was worth the time and energy I've spent searching in the past! I have a place where I keep my keys so I don't lose them, but sometimes I get distracted by a phone call, someone comes in as soon as I get home or something, and the keys end up in some mysterious place. Place. I even had to cancel plans when I couldn't find my keys and couldn't lock the door. So to easily track those keys, it was smart and energy efficient! I haven't tried it for any other purpose as my main reason for getting it was those damn keys. And for that purpose it works!
