Review on Mercer Culinary Millennia Black Handle Slicer: Premium 14-Inch Blade for Seamless Cutting by Tracy Lazalier

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great buy for a cheaper carving knife.

So I think when you buy a carving knife you don't have to invest in an expensive knife. Chef's knives are a different story. A carving knife, on the other hand, is made to make long, continuous cuts through meat. You don't use it to cut through bone (at least if you know how to cut), so strength isn't usually an issue. This is a monstrous 14 inch blade with a durable plastic handle. The blade is razor sharp. Effortlessly cuts meat. The blade has grooves that make it easier to cut through the meat. The handle is very ergonomic, it fits comfortably and comfortably in the hand. I've invested in expensive chef's and paring knives, but this is the perfect carving knife.
