Review on πŸ’ͺ TechFlex Tenacity: Siraya's Resilient and Versatile Solution by Rob Clark

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent flexible resin with impressive impact resistance.

This resin is not flexible. Let's get that out of the way first. This is not like NinjaFlex printing on an FDM printer. Parts made from this resin will deform, but it takes a little effort, and they'll regain their shape, but it takes a little time. They resemble soft plastic rather than rubber. But this deformation and pliability make them incredibly durable and able to withstand severe impact. It would be a great material for outer shells, bumpers or pipes that need to have specific properties. Resin from resin printers is often very brittle and can be added to some other resins to make them more usable and less prone to breakage. You don't have to print with 100% Tenacious (though the articles I posted above) as you can mix it to add impact resistance to other resins - and that really is its main value. In itself it is a kind of whitish transparent resin, not transparent enough to be seen through, but not opaque enough to be white either. It's a little soft, so it's relatively easy to scratch. It doesn't turn very yellow, but more closely resembles the color of the "natural" PLA filament. It also has an odd refractive color that looks very blue to purple in daylight. I'm not sure what caused this, but it's interesting. Overall I am very happy with this resin. It's a great addition to Siraya's arsenal of resins (Blu is my favorite, followed by Sculpt and Tenacious, both of which are more common additions to other resins in my items). This is an impressive flexible resin for the price.
