These are well made, durable connectors. Use them before attempting to connect speaker wire to your speakers if your amp and speakers have banana plugs/pins. My rear channels (polk dipole surround speakers) had a colored (red/black) plug in the banana plug that popped out. My center channel doesn't support banana plugs, but my front left/right floorstanding speakers do, as does my Denon receiver. So once I measured the cable lengths and screwed those jacks in, everything was a breeze. . I have a reverse direction wire that was up when I checked Audyssey audio. So it was easy to change the polarity of the connector. The trick with these connectors is to push the cable through from the end and then fan it out at the end so it's pinched when you screw the two pieces together. The quickest way I've found is to unzip the connectors so you can see everything through the hole, then slightly twist and pull the speaker wire through so it goes through the end easily and when it comes out of the hole, use the other end of the connector to partially push the cable out of the hole, then twist the connector together and pinch the strands of the cable together. After the first 2 everything is quick and easy. No sound distortion, good connections and easy assembly and control. I wished, I would have had her many years ago.
