Works for me: Computer cable adapter

Does what I need. I sometimes use it to connect my Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon to the HDMI cable I have for my TV. I keep it in my backpack so I can sometimes connect to the projectors in the classroom (I'm at university). I can't comment on long term or constant use as I use it very sparingly but it has always worked well for me and saved my ass when I need to present something and the projector doesn't have a mini display input.
