I have a mid 2012 Macbook Pro that only has a Thunderbolt connection. I like using multiple monitors when I work, and sometimes two displays aren't enough to work as efficiently as I would like. I bought this adapter to add the ability to have a second external monitor and it works great. Some reviews say they have a video lag issue when playing on a monitor connected to this adapter. I had no problem playing videos on a USB connected monitor on my computer's macOS or Windows partition. The only thing I noticed is that sometimes the graphics (like zooming in on the dock or opening the launcher) can twitch a bit. Overall, I love this adapter and would recommend it to anyone looking to add an extra monitor (as long as they're not playing games on it). I will update if there are any problems.
