My partner and I took Shepard for 12 weeks last spring. We wanted to be very conscious about leash training since we're in the city. This leash is great for keeping our 7 month old close to us (and away from other walkers). It's also very durable. Between the brief leash-chewing phase and the frequent "leash-free" moments on the sidewalks and hikes (when we train to have a true off-leash experience), this thing has been through quite a bit. After 5 months of daily use it doesn't look "nice" but is holding up well. When it started to wear out we bought a backup but haven't had to switch it to rotation yet. I HIGHLY recommend it, even if it's not as aesthetically pleasing as the trendy crap being promoted on social media.
