Every problem has a solution, right? The mount that comes with the camera does not support the weight of the camera, especially in hot or very cold weather. Enter the suction cup mount and really the last possible solution as getting a new mount with new 3M tape was ineffective. Of course, any time it was hot outside, the windshield would get hot and the tape wouldn't hold, causing the camera to fall and breaking the wires hidden in the headliner. The good news is that the camera never broke. I cleaned the windshield where I attached the suction cup with an alcohol wipe and cleaned the suction cup. The suction cup has been on the windshield for three weeks and has never fallen off. We finally have a winner and cameras don't fall off the windshield anymore.
