If your helmet straps are snug against the skin they work great, if not they are mediocre and require a lot of adjustment. I have a cheap standard Bell road bike helmet in which they reduce noise by 50% while they barely work with my fancy Lazer Anverz e-bike helmet. Also, these things appear to be just the soft side of the Velcro and not even very well finished (stitching, materials, etc.). It probably costs a penny to make, but they charge over $15. You should at least add a few extra pairs.
