True! So some time ago I bought two of them of my own free will. They paid $6 for a small skillet not included in this set. Went to the same goodwill about 4 days ago and indeed there was a large skillet but they wanted $16 for it. I negotiated the price, but I liked the little one. So I bought it. No lids on anything. I liked these two so much, they cook well and the bartender friend cleans them up easily. So I bought this set to get lids and pots. Just arrived today. I just unpacked it and put it in the dishwasher to wash. Update: It's been two weeks so I can report that they don't even cook. While I only cook on medium or low heat as instructed, don't use high heat. Food such as bacon will cook on one side of the pan while the other side of the pan is just starting to cook. They don't seem to stick. I really have to scrub them with a bartender friend of mine to clean them and I've never used anything else to clean them other than crochet little round scrubbers, which work great. They already have a few small scratches that I don't think putty will go away. I can tell you these are good pans. At a great price. They're shiny, classy looking, and cook well for the price. I mostly use cast iron, but of course there are things that cannot be cooked in cast iron. Just a footnote, like cast iron, you should only cook over medium-low heat. You also need to let them cool down before cleaning them. These things I mention keep them from overheating and burning the pan, although they're easy to clean with a fellow bartender. Allowing to cool will protect the pans. All in all, this is a great set for under $100. Enjoy .
