Review on NoTrax T45 Sani-Tuff Premium Rubber Cutting Board - Professional Grade 6x8, Beige by Erin Lowe

Small and expensive in kitchen and dining room

I bought this cutting board to try it out to see if I needed a bigger and much more expensive rubber board. I love the weight, feel and strength of this board. I also like the fact that it can be sanded down to restore the finish, which I'm considering doing annually. Finally, I liked that it was made in the USA. That did not please me. I expect to pay more for US made products, but this little 6" x 8" board was way overpriced. I would never consider buying big boards. In addition, the boards get dirty very easily. I've used this board 4 times and you can see all four foods I've cut on it. Cheddar cheese left greasy dirt stains and vanilla beans left the most stains. These stains cannot be washed off. My theory is if something stains, which means it's porous. If something is porous, it can trap microbes and bacteria. If something can trap germs and bacteria, then it shouldn't be used as a cutting board. Also, this cutting board looks like it's many years old even though I've only used it 4 or 5 times. It looks awful and I don't want guests to see it. I don't think I can recommend this product.
