It's expensive for no other reason than it's (currently) a unicorn. There aren't many options if you want a high refresh rate panel with a >30 inch non-curved 16:9 panel that isn't VA or TN. It looks good even next to a 27-inch 1440p panel. Not as sharp, but the same PPI as a 24-inch 1080p panel. It's well built, the stand is huge and takes up a lot of desk space, but it doesn't wobble and doesn't feel cheap. oh but i have a single dead pixel. HDR is terrible, but don't buy anything other than OLED if you want HDR. OSD navigation is a frustrating exercise, but there is a program (Windows) you can use instead, SOL if you're a Linux user though. The hole in the stand for managing/routing cables works if you only have two cables, but if you're using all inputs it's too small. It would be 5 stars if it was $400, but if you're going to premium late 2020 and charge $700 for a DP 1.2 1440p monitor, it should be fine.
