This is one of the best tools. If you've ever run wires through walls (speaker wire, CATV wire, power cord, etc.), this tool will help you avoid poking through a wall (out of desperation). I actually read about this concept of flexible chains and wire fishing magnets and made a homemade design using this concept (magnet from front of fridge + chain from wife's jewelry box) before purchasing this set. My homebrew worked, but it was pretty clumsy. With this set it is very easy and uncomplicated. It won't replace a good old snake in some cases, but it certainly helps in many hard-to-reach places.
