Only used twice but love it. I have three Mini-i-Grills: one for the boat, one for the RV and one for the home. By the time I connect the stupid i-Grill to my smartphone via Bluetooth, the meat is done. Turn them off and restart them both, turn them on, unplug the mini, restart the phone, turn it on, try, try, try, and maybe it will work. Then when you think it's time to check the temperature again, the thing has lost connection. I have to keep my phone within 6 feet of the I Grill Mini transmitter or it keeps losing connection. According to a reviewer, I raised the tabs on the battery contacts to improve contact. It helped until it didn't help anymore. It hurts a lot. This thing, you turn it on, it's already paired and ready to go. I moved the monitor 150 feet to check for a loss of communication. This is my 5th type of remote BBQ thermometer and all the others have been depressing. Ease of use, fast temperature readings (like 3 seconds instead of 15 seconds on the i-grill) and a solid (so far) connection - I love it. Let's hope it stays that way, if not I'll update this post. For three years I've been trying to find a simple, reliable, cordless barbecue thermometer.
