Review on ๐Ÿงน Authentic Oreck Commercial U2000R 1 Upright Vacuum Cleaner by Ronald Ingram

More trouble than good.

Let me start by saying that when I first started shopping for a quality vacuum cleaner I was already tempted to buy an Oreck. My mom had one 20 years ago. THE ONE came with a lifetime warranty and was very easy to use. Well, to my delight when trying to find the best vacuum cleaner, Nuts always comes out on top. Why am I giving this vacuum cleaner 2 stars? THIS vacuum is not my mother's Oreka vacuum. This was such a big disappointment to me for a number of reasons: 1) It comes with an extension cord. No frills. Unkind. Just a big long universal orange cable. And for me it made the purchase cheap. Couldn't they connect their own cord to the vacuum for 187.00? Is that a big plus for a commercial company? I don't know but I wasn't happy. (My mom Orek had her own cord) 2. They don't have a clear way of wrapping the cord around the vacuum cleaner. Did you know that there is usually some sort of groove where the line is neatly twisted? Not here. We found something, but there is no such function in the vacuum cleaner. At least I see. 3. Non-slip on walls, edges and curves. I figured the little brushes on the sides of the vacuum would help me pick up dirt along walls and curves. It's not like this. I don't know what the purpose of these little brushes actually is because they don't do a damn thing to me and I had to vacuum twice. Once with Orek and once with my old vacuum cleaner, which still has a working hose and attachments. two different vacuum cleaners for each room, every time I vacuum, so several times a day. Not happy with TO4. It has NO APPS. At first I thought I could live with it, but I was wrong! Coupled with the fact that we can't walk on walls, we can't walk up stairs, between sofa cushions or my car! 5. Does not vacuum up thick debris. It is set very low to the ground and has rubber. Group? around the base of the vacuum. Therefore, it cannot be adjusted for carpets with different piles, and it will not accommodate various items thicker than MAAAYBE a Cheerio. It will only push thicker objects across the floor. So all we have to do is walk around and clean up anything that isn't completely flat before we vacuum it. He is very fragile. My daughter somehow managed to suckle at the little Lego (probably by picking it up and putting thicker stuff underneath because if you read above it doesn't build something like that on its own)! It took Orek 2 or 3 days to get over it. It stopped working immediately and we had to completely disassemble and reassemble the floor. Since I bought it in June, it has had to be disassembled and reassembled 3 times. So this thing made vacuuming too difficult. As for me and my family, we all just want to go back to a basic all-purpose vacuum. Update: He finally died about 2 months ago. I just turned it off while my son vacuumed. Don't try to fix it. $200 didn't last a year. I will never buy an orek again inshaAllah.
