Every time I sharpen a watercolor pencil, I cringe when I notice just how much pigment is discarded in the process. Now I sharpen over a piece of paper and store the most used pigment shavings in this handy little container. It may seem miserly, but some of these pencils are extravagant and I feel better knowing that I'm extending the life of the corresponding pencil several times over. And if you break a lead, it's more like dropping a quarter in a piggy bank than down a well.However, I did notice there is another seller offering this identical product for a couple dollars cheaper, so I'm a little bummed about that.
