Great Entry/Return Skates

For those just starting out in skating or returning to skating after years (decades?) of being away from the rink, purchasing an affordable pair of skates is a smart one Idea. However, you should still have skates that fit well, support your ankles, keep your feet stable, and allow you to glide effortlessly across hardwood floors. This is compliant. They are true to size if you don't have wide feet; look good (black skates with yellow stitching); and they come with tools so you can loosen the truck or change wheels. The cork is very sticky so you can rub it a little to prevent sudden stopping versus gradual stopping. They're instantly stiff, but I've found that they soften very quickly (or maybe it's because I ride at least 2 times a week?). If you need skates for jam, rhythm, figure or derby, then you're probably already too advanced to use them! This is definitely entry level casual riding that is awesome even after a month and a half of training, riding practice and Saturday afternoon rides. But they're cheap, as is the included pouch (an added bonus); and I already see myself raising the level of beginner figure skating. I recommend wiping down the wheels and stoppers to remove the stickiness so they're ready for first use.
