Review on πŸ”§ 67605 Valve Spring Compressor Tool for LS Engines: Camaro, Corvette, Trans am, GTO, G8, CTS V, GM Trucks by Joshua Mccall

Works great for Springs

The tool doesn't come with instructions, but if you have some common sense and master the tool, it's easy to figure it out. You will see their threads at an angle, screw in the screw/jacking screw and hold it by the head, the head of the screw is at the bottom opposite the cylinder head. Just say you have a threaded rod pointing up to use the nut and washer. Does the angle look right? great, let's go! unless? Hmm, try flipping it over and reinstalling the screw lol. Watch out for the price. It works great. A well-known branded tool like the Comp Cams tool can cost as much as $150. For the sake of economy, I shall deal with a small inconvenience. The aluminum spacer is the only real problem. Inserting the bolts through the tool, then through the gasket, and then screwing them in takes a couple of times to get used to. Again price comes into play, if I was making 10 cars a day maybe a fancy tool would be faster? OIL or LUBRICATE the jacking screw/nut and you're done, I was able to replace the spring with a jacking screw/nut with no noticeable wear. It comes with a spare so I am ready for many more cars in the future if needed.
