Does NOT pan or zoom smoothly, jerky and poor wide angle zoom

I like everything about the camera except one big flaw, the camera does NOT pan smoothly. jerking when moving. Looks awful when trying to pan left or right or zoom in and out and does NOT have a good wide angle capability so NOT suitable for video conferencing with a large group sitting around a conference table.
